Tony Brown is a Managing Director in the US National Tax practice with more than 40 years of experience providing tax consulting and transactions advice with a focus on real estate and financial services.

Tony has extensive experience in REIT, UpREIT, Up-C, and MLP structures. Throughout his career, Tony has led projects related to outbound and inbound real estate transactions, private partnership conversions, and public offerings. Tony has experience structuring private equity funds in multiple industries to accommodate US taxable investors, US tax-exempt investors, foreign investors and qualified foreign pension funds.

Prior to joining Andersen, Tony was a Partner at EY where he was a part of the national transaction tax practice. He was also a Partner at Arthur Andersen where he served as head of the U.S. real estate industry practice and led the mid-Atlantic tax practice.
