Important Notice: Fraudulent Job Postings and Interview Scams

We have recently become aware of an increase in fraudulent job postings and interview outreach, falsely claiming to represent Andersen and, in some cases, impersonating members of our leadership team.

These scams are designed to mislead job seekers into sharing personal information or, in some cases, sending money. We take this matter seriously and want to help you protect yourself.

What You Should Know

Andersen does not:

  • Request payment or fees at any stage of the hiring process.
  • Ask for sensitive personal or financial information (such as banking details, Social Security numbers, or copies of identification) before a formal offer is made and verified.
  • Conduct interviews solely via text message, chat apps (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram), or informal platforms.
  • Extend job offers without a formal interview process.

Common Signs of Fraudulent Outreach

Be cautious if you encounter:

  • Emails from unofficial domains (anything other than an @andersen.com or @andersenconsulting.com address)
  • Messages with poor grammar, unusual urgency, or inconsistent details
  • Requests to move conversations to personal messaging apps.
  • “Too good to be true” offers with unusually high compensation or minimal requirements.
  • Interview requests or offers that do not align with roles posted on our official careers page.

How to Verify a Legitimate Opportunity

To ensure that a job posting or communication is authentic:

  • Check our official careers page: All open roles are listed on Andersen’s website (https://careers.andersen.com/jobs)
  • Verify the sender: Andersen communications will come from an @andersen.com or @andersenconsulting.com email address.
  • Cross-check the recruiter or interviewer: Check LinkedIn profiles or contact AndersenTalentAcquisition@Andersen.com
  • Contact us directly: If you are unsure, reach out through our website’s official contact channels before taking any action.

What to Do If You Suspect a Scam

If you believe you have been contacted by someone fraudulently representing Andersen:

  • Do not share personal or financial information.
  • Do not send money or provide payment of any kind.
  • Report the incident to us at AndersenTalentAcquisition@Andersen.com
  • Consider reporting the activity to relevant authorities, such as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at reportfraud.ftc.gov.

Our Commitment

We are actively monitoring this situation and taking steps to address fraudulent activity. Protecting our candidates and community is a priority, and we appreciate your vigilance.
