Barry Chaison

Barry Chaison is a director in the Andersen Seattle office. Before rejoining Andersen as a senior associate in January 2016, Barry worked as an accounting manager/tax specialist for a security company in Portland, Oregon. He previously worked at Andersen beginning in 2011.

Barry has over 15 years of experience in the state and local tax area, with a primary focus on sales and use taxes. Barry has significant experience in multistate sales and use tax compliance as well as consulting. In addition, Barry has experience working in multistate income and franchise tax compliance and consulting.

Barry serves clients in a variety of industries, including retail, technology, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and service providers. Barry's experience includes preparing and reviewing sales and use tax returns, as well as state income and franchise tax returns. In addition, he has assisted clients in significant multistate compliance projects, including Voluntary Disclosure Agreements (VDAs), Revenue Agent Reports (RARs), and numerous tax refund claims for both sales and income taxes.
