Melanie Cornell

Melanie Cornell is a director in Andersen’s Private Client Services practice and joined the firm in October 2020. She brings more than 13 years of public accounting experience advising owner-operators, large multigenerational family groups and their family offices, and high- to ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

Melanie has significant experience serving clients in the real estate industry, working closely with developers and property owners on both personal and business matters. Her areas of focus include tax planning, research, and compliance; estate planning and administration; family limited partnerships and trusts; and complex, multitiered partnership structures. She also advises on family office structuring, stock option planning, charitable giving strategies, wealth transfer planning, and transactions involving highly appreciated assets.

Her client base includes real estate developers, entrepreneurs, business owners, property managers, founders, and executives.

Before joining Andersen, Melanie was a manager at RSM in San Antonio, where she specialized in serving business owners, real estate developers, large family groups with multigenerational wealth, and tax-exempt organizations.
