He has more than 10 years of experience serving high-net-worth individuals, multigenerational families, trusts, foundations, and closely held entities on complex tax compliance and planning matters. He focuses on helping clients navigate sophisticated tax issues through thoughtful planning, technical analysis, and practical execution.
Gerald advises clients on a broad range of private client matters, including income tax compliance and planning, wealth transfer strategies, trust and estate administration, and philanthropic planning. His experience includes guiding clients through significant liquidity events, restructuring ownership of closely held businesses, supporting private foundation planning, and addressing complex multistate and international tax considerations. He is known for identifying issues early in the planning process, developing pragmatic solutions, and delivering high-touch client service tailored to each client’s objectives.
Before joining Andersen, Gerald began his career at Goosen & Schultz in Milwaukee, where he provided tax compliance and advisory services to individuals and closely held businesses. He later relocated to Los Angeles to continue working with private clients and their families. He works closely with families and their advisors to address evolving tax considerations across generations while maintaining a focus on long-term planning and implementation.
