Joe Habak is a managing director and leader of the Tax Technology and Automation group at Andersen. He has over 20 years of experience in tax technology strategy, consulting, and operations for firm and corporate tax departments.

Joe has led efforts to design and improve tax processes/workflow and data management to create automation, standardization, improve efficiency, and leverage data to improve/expand client service and tax advisory. His strategy focuses on developing a holistic, automated, and US/globally aligned tax environment, enabling seamless connections between tax data sources, processes, and stakeholders. Under Joe’s leadership, Andersen has successfully executed tax transformation initiatives across multiple service lines that are considered best-in-class.

Before Andersen, Joe was a managing director in KPMG's Tax Technology group, where he led global business development and large-scale tax technology implementations of ONESOURCE and DataFlow solutions. His tenure at Deloitte and Thomson Reuters further solidified his expertise in tax workflow automation, data management, and process optimization.

Recognized as a recent Thomson Reuters ‘Taxologist of the Year’ award recipient, Joe has excelled in transforming tax functions through automation and optimal tax operating models that are data-driven. As an industry thought leader, Joe frequently speaks at US/international conferences and contributes to shaping the future of tax technology through innovative strategies and deep expertise.
