Judy Huang is a managing director in Andersen’s Commercial practice, specializing in transaction advisory services. She has more than 18 years of experience across leading professional services firms and public companies, advising clients ranging from large public companies to early-stage and high-growth businesses on tax and business structuring matters aligned with their strategic objectives.

Judy’s experience includes advising clients on:

  • Tax attribute utilization and planning, including Section 382 matters related to net operating losses and tax credits in support of transactions and financial reporting.
  • Transaction-related tax analysis, with a focus on the deductibility of transaction costs and related cash flow considerations.
  • Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) planning and compliance, assisting companies with evaluating eligibility, planning considerations, and documentation requirements.
  • Mergers and acquisitions tax advisory, including diligence, structuring considerations, cash-impact modeling, and transaction execution support.
  • Process improvement and scalable solutions, collaborating with technology and functional teams to deliver efficient, customized planning, implementation, and documentation approaches, including outsourced support models.
  • Federal and state incentives and credits, with particular experience supporting data center–related programs and deductions.

As a trusted advisor, she supports leading technology and retail companies on complex transactions through thoughtful planning and execution.

Before joining Andersen, Judy worked in audit and tax roles at PwC and managed tax functions for a multinational shipping company, where she supported U.S. and foreign income tax reporting, withholding tax compliance, audits, and acquisition-related matters for multiple publicly traded entities.
