Stephen Macey is a director in Andersen's Commercial practice, specializing in corporate taxation, Tax Accounting and Reporting (ASC 740), federal, state, and local tax compliance, international tax, tax controversy, and tax planning. He advises public and privately held companies on a broad range of tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, business restructurings, operating structure planning, and complex transactions.
His experience includes advising clients on domestic and international tax compliance, tax provision matters, controversy matters, tax credits and incentives, and indirect tax issues. He also assists companies with transaction-related tax matters and planning initiatives designed to address business and operational objectives.
Prior to rejoining Andersen, Stephen served as Head of Tax at BlueHalo, a defense startup that was later acquired by AeroVironment, and held various tax leadership roles at Northrop Grumman. He began his career at Andersen, where he provided tax compliance, tax accounting and reporting, transaction advisory, tax credit, and tax controversy services to multinational and middle market businesses.
